The San Diego Fair International Beer Competition results are in!!
I am proud to announce that San Pedro Brewing Company has won the GOLD medal for our Pedro Pilsner!!!!!!! We beat out a German Brewery, Kulmbacher Pils, and New Belgium Brewing Co.'s Blue Paddle Pils (the same brewery that makes Fat Tire). This event pits a number of excellent breweries against each other (some BIG, and some tiny, like us). I think it's appropriate that we won gold in the Pilsner category, a style originally from the Czech Republic, where I used to work, and where our brewing equipment was built.
Jason Welke, our brewer, also brought home an honorable mention for our venerable Shanghai Red Ale. Excellent work, Jason!!

San Pedro Brewing Company won 4 medals, including "Best of Show" for our Point Fermin Pale Ale at the 2007 LA and San Diego County Fairs! We beat out a lot of really good breweries. Congrats to Brewer Jason Welke for another outstanding job! The South Bay's Best Brewing company, San Pedro Brewing Company!
